SOS - Climate Refugees

This diagram can lead people to migrate and become refugees because of weather, pollution, gases and many more. This is caused to disease, hurt or kill them. The land will also be damaged which is not good for people in the land. The agriculture such as cows, they infect the air with their unwanted waste. Pollution is not good for the water because if they would like to fish, the fish will be dead or rotten. Climate is one of the most dangerous.

FTE - Ham and cheese quiche

Today my class and I made Ham and cheese quiche in Food class. Many of us found this really difficult and most of us did not have an issue. I have made these before, but I did it with another class. If you would like to know how to make this follow the ingredients:

•  Cut pastry into 9 pieces 
• Paste onto the muffin tray - add ham
• Whisk 5 eggs and 1 C of milk
• Bake for 15 mins and 180 degrees

SOS - Tokelau

As I was on a long journey back to my homeland I was thinking of what would happen if they would not treat me the same as like I would back when I did not leave to get better knowledge to carry that and give to my people that gave it to me. A few hours later and I finally arrived at Tokelau and they actually greeted me like it was my birthday, all the tears filled the land and screamed pierced my ears. Their smiles were a mile long and all the food I got presented was delicious. After all the greetings I met the elders and they were glad that I made it back and now I started giving my knowledge to the school and children around my village.

FTE - Chocolate muffins

Today my class and I were lucky enough to make chocolate muffins which sounds and taste very delicious. There were many hard steps to the process of making chocolate muffins. To be honest I found this very difficult. If you would like to make these muffins her are the steps.

• 11/2C of Flour, a/2 cup of sugar
• 1 egg, 1/3C of cocoa, 50g of chocolate pieces 
• 1/2C of milk, 1 tsp of vanilla essence 
• 1/2C of oil 

Mix well and put in muffin tray. Put on for 15mins and 180 degrees 

FTe - Pancakes

Today my class and I were lucky enough to make pancakes. Our cooking teacher was kind enough to show how to make it. When I first saw the ingredients I thought making the pancakes were hard, but I actually found it easy. I really enjoyed making the pancakes. If you would like to make the pancakes here are the ingredients:

• 1/2 cup of sugar 
• 1 cup of milk 
• 1 egg

A trip to the movies is being organised for the Year 9s and 10s at Tamaki College.

The costs involved are:

Hire of the movie theatre                                   $500

Cost of Transport for each student                            $3.80

Cost of a snack (popcorn, drink or ice cream)     $4

Cost of a combo (all three of popcorn, drink & ice cream) $10

It is expected that

• 1/3 of the students attending will have a combo. and
• 15% of the students attending will have one snack

There are 114 Year 9 students and 96 Year 10 students at Tamaki College.

The school has stated that at least 60 students must attend for the trip to go ahead.

Investigate the cost of this trip, per student, if 60 or more students attend the trip.

Show full working, explain what you are doing at each step and round your answers sensibly. State any assumptions made.

Social studies

Today in social studies I learnt 2 new concepts and they were Modernisation and Sustainability.  The meaning of modernisation is adapting with something much more better and sustainability means to maintain you level or improve in it.
